I tried monovision contacts twice - gave up both times because I wasn't able to see clearly far or near. Five years ago, I reverted to glasses. Two days ago, I was fitted with Frequency 55 Multifocal and was extremely surprised by how comfortable the lens fit and how clearly I could see far and near. I wore the lens 10-12 hours on the second day and basically forgot about them as I went about my usual day, which included lots of computer and near reading. I am a believer already and from what others have reported, the clarity will increase. One up for myopic, astigmatic, over 45 year old contact wearers!Source: AC Lens

Would Recommend I have tried the one for distance, one for reading contact method and it absolutely made me ill. I have used AcuVue Bifocals for the last 5 years and found them to be very comfortable. A month ago my optometrist switched me to Frequency 55 Multifocals. My vision was immediately 20/20. What I really noticed was the distance vision I gained and I can do computer work without reading glasses. I had a difficult time getting accustomed to them as they are much thicker than the AcuVues and were really uncomfortable for several days, but I endured and now do not notice they are in my eyes. My only complaint is that they do not have the numbers to indicate which is the correct side and I find it very hard to figure out if they are wrongside out or not. I wish they would come with a visual indicator. Other than that I am very pleased.Source: AC Lens
