I agree with everyone else--this new formula is completely worthless and I feel WORSE when I take it, than before I took it--there was nothing wrong with the old formula, except the "amphetamine" issue--believe me, someone will always find a way to make illegal drugs and there are so many people that REALLY need the old formula for their symptoms!!!Source: Drugstore.com

I am very disappointed that the old formula Actifed is no longer available; it's the only product that has worked for me since 1985. I have tried the new formula and its completely useless and in my opinion should be withdrawn from the market. It is sad that so many must suffer because of so few.Source: Drugstore.com

  5. It simply does not work Posted by Anonymous on Dec 11, 2007

The "new formula" Actifed is worthless. It simply does not work. I purchased a box of the new formula by accident, thinking it was the original stuff. I literally thought it didn't work anymore, until I found out it isnt the same thing. You've lost my business for this product.Source: Drugstore.com

  6. I have asthma and asbestosis Posted by Anonymous on Nov 25, 2007

I have asthma and asbestosis. I have used the regular Actifed for years and it always worked for me in less than a half an hour. I went to the pharmacy today to get a couple more boxes of it and they said the company discontinued it. I have used the new Actifed and it was a waste of money--I would have been better off taking M&M's--at least I would have had something to enjoy.Source: Drugstore.com

The new formula is a joke. Might as well just put the money in a pile and burn it. The only true relief is with the old formula.Source: Drugstore.com

My husband took the old formula of Actifed for years and it was the only thing that worked for him. As with everyone else, the new formula does not work at all. This week we were in Vancouver, Canada for a conference and happened to stop by a pharmacy to get something else. I thought perhaps Canada doesn't have the same restrictions on the ingredients in the old formula, and to our delight they do still have the old formula of Actifed.Source: Drugstore.com

I no longer buying this product as the new formulation is terrible and does not work. I had been a loyal customer for 20 years and was very disappointed in the decision to change the product because of certain elements of society. I had no problem with asking for it at the pharmacy counter. I e-mailed the company to complain and I hope everyone else who feels as I do does the same.Source: Drugstore.com
