About NCPA - the National Community Pharmacists Association

Originally founded in 1898 as the National Association of Retail Druggists (NARD), the NCPA has grown to represent the pharmacist owners, managers and employees of 25,000 independent community pharmacies across the United States.

In 2004, NCPA joined an online trust company in an effort to improve consumer access to legitimate online prescription drug services. Through this partnership, a Licensed Pharmacy Program was launched with the NCPA's approval as it has met the criteria for pharmacies to advertise and sell on the internet.
